Only the toughest of the tough made it to today's trail run, writes Jim Knight. Excuses like "my legs hurt from my last marathon" and "I'm running London next weekend" were heard from the wimps. Those who attended were treated to a delightful, scenic, hilly 10.5 mile route led by Grazia.

PS. Lionel didn't wear the helmet on the run, but did have to ride home wearing his trail shoes.

Ide Hill Trail Run - 25 February 2018

Second Loop groupFirst Loop Group

In glorious sunshine and with the mud frozen, it was a great trail run from Ide Hill on Sunday 25th February. Four runners (above left) opted for both loops. Thanks to Jim for organising and supporting. The next trail run, which would have been on Sunday 4th March from Dame Kelly's Cafe 1809 in Hildenborough at 10:00 (Happy's farewell run), has now been postponed.

Lullingstone trail run - 10 December 2017

Whilst lesser athletes were put off by the snow, eleven hardy SAC trail runners braved the Lullingstone hills for a trail chase, writes Jim Knight.

Red team wins
On the first loop, the red team, led by John Denyer triumphed over the “fast” blue team with a lead of about 2 minutes.
Blue team finish
However, on the second loop the blue team had red in their sights with half a mile to go and sprinted past them to finish a few seconds ahead.
