Marion Van Lille won the August handicap ahead of Neil Haggertay and Mike Lochead, but David Lobley still leads the series on tiebreak from Andrew Mead. The series moves to Sunday mornings for the last four races with the next being on Sunday 30th September at 09:00 from Sevenoaks School track. All the details are here.
Four pioneering SAC members tried out the new 10k race at East Peckham, near Paddock Wood, on 5th August. The course on quiet rural roads has no notable hills, so good times should be possible on a cool day. Not this year though, although there were welcome patches of shade and two water stations. Location and organisation were great, but they'll need more toilets if they start to get bigger fields!
Graham Dwyer led the SAC runners home and was first M45. The SAC results were:

The results of last Thursday's 1 mile races are here with WMA GP scores, writes John Denyer.
Three new entries into the Club Best Performances for Michael Lochead, Keith Dowson and myself, so the heat didn't hold us back! Good running from all those that took part I think, some for the first time over this distance. Guillaume Nineven was the fastest.
Richard Pitcairn-Knowles adds: "Congratulations to you and the others on new records - fantastic results by all finishers in that heat...thanks again for so quietly and efficiently arranging this annual club event."
