Andy Ashlee pulled away from Steve Nicholson to win the September handicap. See details here. Please note the next race will be on Sunday 13 September at 9am and not as previously advertised.
James Graham clinched the Kent Grand Prix M60 title with M60 victory at the Bexley 10k on Sunday 12th July. This gave James six wins in the six-best-scores-out-of-ten-races competition, which means he can't be caught, even though there are still three races remaining.
James was 28th overall in the race in 40:50, with John Wallace the only other SAC runner on the day finishing 55th in 44:41.
The full Bexley results are here.
Sally Shewell, second W55, and Chris Desmond, third M50, are also currently doing well in the GP. The spreadsheet after seven races is here.
The last meeting in the 2015 Kent SCVAC league athletics series was held at Gillingham on Friday 10 July, and Sevenoaks AC successfully held onto third place for the series in Division 2, whilst improving our standing as at the last competition. Our score of 53 points for the meeting was nearly twice that of our rivals, Swanley AC, and gave us third place for the evening as well as the series. This is the best which can be achieved without being promoted to Division 1, and is probably the most favourable outcome for our future competition.
Ron Denney ran the second fastest club time for an M75 at the annual club mile track race on 9th July. Joe Parsons won the race. The full results are here.
