Sally Shewell was second W55 as twenty Sevenoaks runners, including several of the previous days mobsters, contested the Tonbridge Half in damp windy conditions on 1st October. Nick Humphrey-Taylor was our first runner home, narrowly edging out fellow M40 Matthew Walker.
Sevenoaks AC were sixth in the mob match organised in conjunction with the Malling Parkrun on 30th September. SAC had the smallest team of the seven participating clubs, but there were high-quality performances at both ends of the field. The SAC results were as follows:

We entered the Will Bolton Memorial XC relays on Saturday with a Mens team of Dan Witt, Tony Horlock, Ted Scott and myself, writes Andrew Mead. The race is 4 by 4km relay at Sparrows Den involving running around about 5 rugby pitches and then up into some very steep woods. There were about 60 teams in all with men, women and mixed senior teams all running at the same time, and the SAC team came 35th. Not bad as the average age of the runners was probably closer to 20 years with Tonbridge AC, Blackheath and Sevenoaks School in particular all entering some very youthful teams. Overall a well organised race and a good sharpener for XC season.
