Seven SAC runners completed the Paddock Wood Half Marathon in excellent running conditions on 13th March. John Stevens led the Sevenoaks runners home and was fourth M60 in a high quality field of nearly 1300 finishers. Two other clubmates were in the top ten in their categories with Lionel Stielow sixth M70 and Sylvia Lewis eighth W65. The SAC results were:

Keith Dowson won the March handicap by twelve seconds ahead of Jane Morgan, with Chris Desmond third.

Andrew Mead was the fastest overall, with Suzy Claridge the fastest woman.

After second in the previous race, Keith is the early favourite for the series title.

The next race is on Sunday 24th April starting from the Sevenoaks School track at 08:30.

Alan Male won the second race of the 2022 Sevenoaks AC monthly handicap series beating his handicap by over four minutes. He was twenty seconds clear of Keith Dowson in second place, with Lucy Wilkes in third place.

Rebecca Pickard was the fastest on the day with Graham Dwyer the fastest man.

Please note that the third race of the series, over the alternate five-mile distance, has had to be rescheduled. It will now start from the Sevenoaks School track at 08:30 on Sunday 6th March.

Last-minute cancellation of the Knole KFL race caused a quick switch by some of the SAC runners to the Tunbridge Wells Half on 20th February. There were some good runs too, as Mike Lochead was 5th M40 and Pauline Dalton 3rd W55. The SAC results were as follows:
