Thanks to everyone who turned up at Lullingstone this morning to celebrate Richard's achievement of reaching 250 Park Runs, writes John Denyer. An amazing feat, how does he keep going!

25 SAC took part and there were a few sons and daughters plus friends as well. We managed to swell the field to 87 and it was appropriate that Richard's grandson Bede won the race in a PB. Mark, his son was 5th and granddaughter Polly was in the top 15, the genes have clearly been passed on!

It was my first run at Lullingstone and although it is hilly it's a beautiful course made all the better by the bright sunshine, not for PBs but good training!

The SAC men's and women's teams were both third and the combined team second as thirty-two members tackled the 5+ miles course on a fine autumn morning at Swanley Park. After this second KFL match of the series, the men stand in fourth position, the women third and the combined team third. James Graham was first M60 and Sally Shewell second W55, while Cath Linney led the women and Darrell Smith the men.

Sevenoaks AC was also very well represented in the junior race, as reported by Darrell Smith:

Eight of the Junior Athletic teams turned to compete. In the U11 Girls race, Alice Lampugh came in 3rd in her first race for the Club followed by Ella Baker in 7th and Tabitha Elcoch-Haskins in 11th. In the U11 boys race Verner Krynauw and Ollie Armes finished well in 2nd and 3rd, reversing the order from the Knole race. Both boys are having a great season. And in his first race for the Club, Jamie Christopher Clarke finished well in 11th to bring the team home to prove Sevenoaks AC as the strongest team of 3.

In the U14 Girls, Julia Sackville-West was third, while in the U14 Boys, Harvey Taylor was eighth.

A small but quorate team of four attended the KXCL match at Sparrows Den the previous day. Again James Graham was first M60 as the team finished thirteenth and maintained their twelfth position in the standings after three matches.The SAC results were:

Darius Sarshar won the penultimate handicap race of 2016, while Geoff Vine bowed out in style with second place in his last SAC handicap race.

Grace Manzotti still leads the series but now by only one point from John Copping. There are three in the race for the series trophy and another three with chances for the minor placings at the final race on Boxing Day, 26th December. The details are here.

There was a huge turnout of 561 runners for the opening KFL fixture of the 2016/17 season on 30 October in Knole Park, including a large contingent of 42 from the home club. There were some excellent performances with Rob Carr and his SAC helpers once again putting on a great race.

Darrell Smith was first SAC runner home, with Katie Wills leading in the women's team. James Graham was first M60, and Sally Shewell was third W55 (with Glenda Goscomb 4th). The Sevenoaks men and women were both fifth in the team stakes, with the combined team fourth. The SAC results were:

Several Sevenoaks runners also ran in the Kent League XC at Somerhill the previous day. James Graham was first M60 and the men's team had enough runners once again to register a score. They stand 12th out of 20 clubs to have scored after two matches. The SAC results were:
