While eighteen other SAC runners were contesting the Tunbridge Wells half on 17th February, three of our athletes took part in the tough Valentines 10 miler at Vigo, near Meopham, where Marion van Lille had a brilliant run to finish second woman (1st senior).
Andy Ashlee also had a good run to finish seventh overall and second M40, with Maria Ashlee making up the Sevenoaks contingent.

Andy Ashlee and Chris Randall ran the Lenham Cross Winter Marathon (trail 27.5M/4300ft) on 24 February where Andy was fourth (2nd M40). Chris provided this evocative report and photos from the race. Andy spared us a picture of his feet.

The last KXCL race of the season was held on Saturday 9th February at Norman Park on what turned out to be a surprisingly good course, writes James Graham. Unfortunately we only had two club members taking part, mainly due to fatigue and injuries.
In the senior/vets race Allan Lee had an excellent run finishing as 2nd M40 (1st M45) and in the M70 race RIchard Pitcairn-Knowles completed the race and, in doing so, finished the season in fourth place in the M70 category. Both were eighth in their races on the day. The full results are here.
