In cool conditions, Marco Mion comfortably won the final race of the Sevenoaks AC 2019 handicap series with the series trophy already won by Andrew Mead.

Mion beat second-placed Darius Sarshar by fifty-two seconds and his own handicap by eighty-two seconds with a time of 47:48 for the hilly seven-mile course. Sarchar had the consolation of running the day's fastest time of 46:10, but he was only one second faster than new champion Andrew Mead who was another thirty-one seconds back in 46:11.

In fourth place, James Baker completed his fourth scoring run of the series in 49:25, just over a minute ahead of Sylvia Lewis (72:30) in fifth. With two second and one third place in his earlier runs, Baker's score of eleven points was enough for third place in the series, while Lewis held on to her series second place.

Following the conclusion of the 2019 series a new series for 2020 begins in the New Year. The first race is over the alternate five mile course. It starts from the Sevenoaks School track at 9 am on Sunday 19th January. Newcomers are very welcome to come and run.
