KYAL4x100relayTeam

Going into the last KYAL Meeting of the season in 2nd place all the team had to do was finish 5th team or better to stay in the top 2 teams to gain promotion to Division 1 next Summer, writes head coach Darrell Smith.

In the end we achieved it comfortably with a 4th place finish despite a very much depleted team due to holidays.

The top performers for the Club were Hannah Galligan U13 who equalled the Club record for High Jump with a leap of 1.35m, Jess Lewis ran a 45.7 300m and Poppy Buckle jumped 1.35m in the High Jump to break club records and Erin Vallance lowered her own 100m club record to 13.4. There were wins for Jess Lewis in the U15 Long Jump with a leap of 4.29m and Emily Holden with a throw of 18.03m in the Shot.

The Meeting finished with Relays and one final club record in the U15 4 x 100m (team pictured above).
